Ten dogs, two cats, a few squirrels, numerous beta and goldfish, one guinea pig, and two amazing, accomplished daughters later, Dr. Westfall has returned to New Hampshire after a 35-year absence. She grew up in Pelham, and attended UNH, getting her BS in Animal Science.
Upon graduation from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, she practiced in a small animal hospital in Northern Virginia for her entire career. Only left in February 2019 as her husband pursued his dream job. Not quite ready to retire after a 6-month sabbatical, she joined MVH in May with a renewed energy for her next chapter. She is excited to join a hospital where she can further her fear-free certification to the next level.
When not working, she enjoys puttering in the garden, shopping for treasures at flea markets and antique shops, reading a great novel, and playing a mean game of Mah Jong.
Currently, she shares her home with Barry, her best friend and husband of 36 years, Lucy a 5-year-old Great Dane, and Olive a 6-year-old “Rat” Terrier who runs the household.
